In 1983,  several couples came together to pray about how God might move in our community against Abortion and about this thing called a Crisis Pregnancy Center. From the stirring of their spirits, God moved gathering believers together to start this ministry.

New Life Solutions was incorporated in 1985 as Pinellas Crisis Pregnancy Center, Inc. From our humble beginnings we have been dedicated to saving and preserving lives for the cause of Jesus Christ. We provide a Christian response to the ever-increasing number of teens and young mothers experiencing unplanned pregnancies and abortions.

In 1985, we opened our first Center in Pinellas Park at a small shopping plaza in a 700 square foot facility with a part-time director and several volunteers. Today we have served thousands serve our clients in three Centers strategically located in Countryside, Largo, and Pinellas Park providing free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, life coaching, education classes, and post-abortion support groups as well as sharing with them the life saving message of Jesus Christ and offering them an opportunity to make Jesus their Lord and Savior. Our campus in Largo has two buildings totaling 12,000 sq. ft. of ministry space. One building is our 5,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Breath of Life Women’s Health Services and Birth Center and the other is 7,000 sq. ft. Ministry Headquarters housing all of our administrative offices, More2Life and our Largo Crisis Pregnancy Center. We have over 30 staff members in both full-time and part-time positions along with a volunteer base of several hundred strong.

Since our beginning, New Life Solutions has been affiliated with Care-Net (formerly known as the Christian Action Council). Care-Net is the largest association of crisis pregnancy centers in the United States with well over 1200 members.
In addition to being affiliated with Care-Net we also work with other organizations including Heartbeat International, NIFLA (National Institute of Family & Life Advocates), Focus on the Family, Florida Abstinence Education Association, Abstinence Clearinghouse, Juvenile Welfare Board Task Force, and American Association of Birth Centers. We are also members of ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) for accountability and stewardship purposes and to continue learning how to serve God and our community with excellence.

The original founding Board of Directors of New Life Solutions beginning in 1983 worked for over two years to establish a solid foundation for this ministry. This foundation was built on prayer, purpose and sound preparation. Throughout the mission statement, statement of principle and the statement of faith, it is clear that this ministry is one of faith in action.

A local Board of Directors governs the ministry of New Life Solutions. From its inception, the board, staff and volunteers have been multi-denominational. With the main prerequisite for service being a close, verifiable, relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to present Jesus with love, and explain why that relationship should be foremost in the lives of the women and men we serve. This foundation and desire remains solid to this day.
In 1999, we launched the start of our Post-abortion Grief Support Program called Passages. There had been about 35,000,000 abortions in the United States at that time and the growing need of restoration and healing was evident in the clients we were seeing in the Centers. Under the direction of Jan Walters, this program was launched to help reach these hurting and broken people.

Also in 1999, we were lead to help turn the tide in the number of students facing unplanned pregnancies and STDs. By partnering with the health classes in our local middle schools and high schools we entered the classroom to teach the message of sexual purity and healthy marriages to students. Since that time we have spoken to over 50,000 students. Abstinence Only Education is mandated in our schools and our team of educators presents this message in a way that is engaging and effective.  Today the message we deliver helps students to understand that the choices they make today impact their futures. The students walk away from our programs knowing that all risky behaviors bring consequences that either help them reach their goals or hinders their success.
In 2001, God cast a vision for us to expand our services to offer a Christ-centered OB/Gyn practice for all women. Breath of Life Women’s Health Services and Birth Center became a reality in August 2007 providing quality health care, discipleship and birthing services for all women in our community including Pregnancy Center clients. Breath of Life is a fee based medical service provider, accepting self-pay, insurance and medicaid.
In 2011, Shepherd's Village became the newest addition to the New Life Solutions Ministries.  Shepherd’s Village is a Christian housing ministry for single-parent families. Shepherd's Village provides new hope and a fresh start to establish a stable family life through new spiritual and emotional health, financial and life skill training, and educational and career development goals.  Its mission is to provide transitional housing and programs for qualified single-parent families willing to establish and pursue specific goals that lead to strengthened family life and self sustainability.

Ministry Description

New Life Solutions is a private, non-profit 501(C)3 corporation. We are multi-denominational in scope and supported solely by churches, businesses and individuals through the fund-raising efforts of the Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers. We are an outreach ministry of the local body of Christ to women and men in crisis pregnancies as an alternative to abortion. We accomplish this task by providing peer counseling and pregnancy tests, as well as sonograms, and emotional, physical, spiritual and economic support. Services offered through Client Services are all free of charge to our clients.

We understand the many difficulties facing young, pregnant women in need and we are prepared to help these women with life-affirming alternatives. It is our position that every abortion claims an innocent human life and damages the mother who carries the child emotionally and spiritually if not physically.

We believe and teach that sexual abstinence before marriage is the only 100% safe, effective and natural form of birth control. We also hold that “safe-sex” outside of marriage is a myth. We are recognized and approved by the Pinellas County School Board to provide abstinence presentations to middle and high school students. Through our sexual abstinence program, More2Life, we reach Middle and High School teenagers in both public and private schools. With the ever-increasing number of sexually transmitted diseases and abortions, it is of extreme importance that we give our young people a clear message on sexuality. We teach them that their only hope for a future free from the worry of an unplanned pregnancy and or sexually transmitted disease is abstinence.
