Your Steps Matter: 2011 Walk For Life

What a wonderful time we had this year at our Walk For Life Event… This event held annually on the Saturday before Mother’s Day was especially pleasant with a breezy morning with sunshine; enjoyed by over 800 enthusiastic and blessed fund-raising walkers!

Those walkers represent more than 170 churches coming together within Pinellas County to raise money for Life! The Walk For Life is our Largest Fund-raising event for the ministries of New Life Solution’s. Proceeds from the Walk provide the funds necessary to keep our 3 Pregnancy Center doors open for several months, enabling us to continue to provide free services to thousands of women and families facing unplanned pregnancies.

It is amazing how God works through the faithfulness of the walkers. This year the Walk raised over $384,000 in pledges to make a difference for life in Pinellas County! Praise the Lord!!

Many hands come together to make these effort happen; first, we would like to thank all the Corporate Sponsors who underwrite our Walk expenses. Please be sure to frequent theses supporting businesses and when you use their service, thank them for taking a stand for life!

Second, we would like to thank the Church Liaisons who recruit walkers within the represented churches in Pinellas County. Church Liaisons are God’s ambassadors and vital to spreading the word about the Walk For Life. We could not do what we do without our loving and committed Liaisons!

Last and certainly not least; we would like to thank and show our gratitude to the nearly 100 members of the 2011 Sol’s Lifesaver Dinner Club! This group is “Simply the Best!” They raised nearly $193,000 in pledges by individually raising $1000 or more! Furthermore, we would like to give kudos to our Super Life Savers who went above and beyond by raising $2500 or more and collectively raised over $106,000!
