In 2009, two of our staff members, Gail and Mary, traveled on a short term mission trip to Kenya. They led a Post-abortion Support Group (Passages) for 15 women, a Facilitator Training for a Pregnancy Center in Nairobi, and provided a Day of Refreshing Seminar for the Center’s Satellite office in Nakuru.

It was sad to see how Post-abortion Stress affects women throughout the world, but amazing to witness the Omnipresent power of God heal women and set them free from the shame, guilt, and pain that keeps them in bondage!

What a joy it was to receive a report from Akech, one of our Passages attendees, letting us know that she has continued the Lord’s work in abortion recovery.

Since 2009, Akech has held 6 Passages support groups, including one for men. She has also held Post-abortion Education Trainings for 240 students at the University of Nairobi and presented an Abortion Awareness Seminar in the Kibera slums. In addition she has given her testimony over the airwaves on Ghetto radio, which reaches into 3 major Nairobi slums and they have 82,000 likes on Facebook. Praise the Lord!

In August 2011, Gail once again represented New Life Solutions by returning to Kenya to hold another Facilitator Training. She met with Akech to strategize the future growth of Passages in Kenya and delivered 100 Forgiven and Set Free books to equip her to hold Passages Bible Studies for women living in the slums.

God is penetrating into the darkness and going right into the heart of these ghettos where there may be no electricity, no plumbing, and mostly one room shacks with cardboard walls. God is truly delivering His gift of salvation, hope and healing through Passages in Kenya!
